missing November 16, 1979. His 1961 blue GMC van was
located on November 17, 1979, parked in the UI Hydraulics

Susan J. Kersten

Susan Kersten's body was
found in a car that had been set on fire in a field south
of the Regency Trailer Court in rural Iowa City, where
she lived.
When Kersten's body was found in 1995, investigators
didn't suspect she was murdered until an autopsy was
performed several days later. While the case has been
investigated actively for the past 13 years, no arrests
have been made.
The family of Susan Kersten is offering a $7,000 reward
for information leading to the arrest and conviction of
her killer. Family and investigators encouraged anyone
with information to contact police, and those people who
have already talked to investigators to get back in
touch.
